The iLock Widget

Announcing Widget number 3 .. The iLock Widget!

The iLock widget allows you to easily lock out your immunity application to uninvited guests! Need to rush to the toilet quickly? Need to leave your PC, but you havn't yet saved your immunity project? Now you can simply activate your immunity-lock.

You will be presented with the screen above that allows you to either enter (or change) your password. Your password is encrypted with blowfish, so it has very decent security built right in! ;)

More development updates soon!

Man .. What A Dazzling Day!

So today we found out that Daz changed their stance on licensing their products. And typically, Michael 3.0 from Daz was the only thing we licensed externally in ImmunityCS..
Luckily, before we made the decision to go with Daz in the first place .. We were designing SEVERAL characters of our own ..

To put everybodies mind at rest, heres one of many iCast development pictures from about 3 months ago that we left in early development before we decided to trust Daz's Content ..

The above isn't even rendered! You can even see the wireframe lines! :)

This is one of our jolly fellows .. There are plenty more, we are considering designing some new ones also but I just wanted to post this to let you guys know that we're not stranded now that Daz has changed the licenses! We're simply going back to Plan A ..

Immunity all the way!    ;)

New Widget - Project Manager

ABOUT THE WIDGIT

Here is our first shot of the Project Manager.. You can also see it on top of the status bar along with the iTunes Player Widgit. The Project Manager Widgit is the one on the right.

This widgit actually opens a small app, similar in function to the real Immunity Modules. This is yet another great example of how Widgits can allow 3rd party developers to easily create extra functionality to ImmunityCS.

ABOUT THE PROJECT MANAGER

The Project Manager Widgit opens to reveal a mini-app with 4 sections. There is a Contacts Book, Calendar, Task List and Notes.

The Project Manager adapts to the actual ImmunityCS Project you are working on. For example, if you change to a different project in ImmunityCS, The Project Manager will find out about it, save the current entries and 'switch' to your chosen project.

This means, you can have seperate information for every project you work on in immunity. So you can have a Contacts List for one project with a select group of people and if you change to another project, you can start fresh and have a completely different set of people in the list.

This way, your work automatically stays organized and this mini-app will handle your basic reminders, meetings, dates, tasks, and of course important contact information! :)

We're still coming up for ideas for Widgit number 3.. We want to make it a little different from the other two just to give a taste of what's possible.. Of course, something functional wouldn't hurt either! ;)

More to come soon! Next Blog will probably be on Monday!

Immunity Widgets

WIDGETS

This was first explored a month ago as a cool feature that will enable developers to create mini-apps for Immunity. And it's here and fully implemented! They're called Widgets!
Many of you have already come across them in other scenarios, Microsoft are calling them Gadgets I think for Vista! lol Classic M$ Rebranding! ;)

Immunity Widgets carry on the tradition of small mini-apps that pop up when you need them. our widgets are loaded into the Status Dock at the bottom of the interface and you can open 3 at a time. Though, you can have limitless Widgets installed, you can only choose 3 to load at any one time.

We'll be shipping 3 Immunity Widgets free of charge when you purchase ImmunityCS. 2 of these are confirmed to be:

iTunes Player:
Small Widgit that allows you to play your iTunes music without opening iTunes at all!

Immunity Project Manager:
Small App that keeps track of all your projects independantly. You can setup a contacts address book, calendar, Task list, and Stickies to help keep your projects organized - and of course - it is presented in our Immunity fashion - Green, Black and Super Easy To Use! ;)

MORE GOOD NEWS FOR MMF DEVELOPERS!

We'll be releasing an MMF compatible Widgit template complete with documentation so you guys can start writing some cool Widgits for Immunity! We will provide examples, and explain all the security precautions you need to take into account when creating these beauties!

You can make them either freeware (and we will even host them for you so you don't have to worry about marketing or bandwidth costs), or commercial, and we will sell them for you directly through the Immunity Content Store! :)

We think Widgits are going to be a critical part of getting ImmunityCS into the big time! We encourage you guys who are able to jump in now and help us make Immunity into the ultimate platform for games and multimedia creation! :)

Some Snapz of the Project Manager Widgit tomorrow - Stay Tuned!

The Project Viewer

In ImmunityCS, the Project Viewer provides you with a quick overview of your finished Content.

When you have completed a character or scene and 'flattened' it out, or when you have 'bounced' your music, it will be available in your Project.

There's 2 really cool things about the Project Viewer. The first is the ability to quickly and efficiently view your content. The three category buttons divide it into iCast, iScape and iLoop content.

The content is displayed in a list where you can click on them one by one to get a preview in the image above. If you are looking at iLoop content, you can preview the sound with the Preview button that appears.

The second great thing is the 'Quick Export' button. You can simply choose anything in your project, click the Quick Export button and you can save it anywhere on your computer or network.

Tomorrow I'll be blogging something really AWESOME! It was an experimental and bumpy road, but let's just say that anyone with iTunes installed is gona love it! ;) ... But it gets so much deeper than that! Stay posted - Tomorrow you guys will love this one!

Where We're At and iScape's Environments

Getting Up To Speed

Hello again!

This is my first 'real' entry of the Immunity Product Design blog! It's actually quite exciting to be sharing our daily battles and triumphs with you guys, and those of you who are keen to get your hands on ImmunityCS would be very eager to hear the up to the minute features and interface tweaks we'll be adding.

I'll very generally bring you guys up-to-date on where we are with the project. We've got all the fundamentals working correctly in respect to coding and general interface design. What we need to do at this point is finish off the export process for iCast, as well as add interface tweaks and last minute features to really make the software complete.

And Now The Actual Update .. lol
One of these last-minute features happen to be Environments. Environments are used in iScape, and the idea for using them is to simulate skies and atmospheres.

There are loads of presets available out-of-the-box! These include greyscale, flashback, a variety of coloured hazes, IceScape, Night, Mars, and a few more (they may be renamed later on!).

What's cooler than the presets available to you, is the ability to actually create your own! All you have to do is open the Environment Editor Panel, and drag a series of nine sliders around to create some really crazy effects! You can even get into the nitty gritties and directly type the values you would like for each slider to get integer perfect values. :)

I'm sure the snapshot of the day speaks for itself .. But as of today, that feature is now complete! Expect to see it in the full version!

Remember! We welcome feedback! If you have any ideas, etc. just pop them up either here or on the forum and we promise to read them!

The next update will probably be either on Saturday or Monday at the latest!

Welcome!

Hi Everyone!

We thought we'd start up this blog as many of you would probably like to see what's going on behind the scenes here at Immunity Digital!

I'll take this opportunity to introduce myself! I'm Melli Georgiou, Product Design Leader and Director of Immunity Digital LTD. We're a small company at the moment comprising of 2 main employess (Simon and I!) and a handful of part-timers commited to the project.

We're currently working on ImmunityCS (Content Studio), which is an application suite that allows you to easily create fantastic content for your games and multimedia projects! It can create music, animated characters /objects and scenes!

It works around a project-like approach so you can work on an infinate amount of projects simultaneously while keeping them seperate.

Our main website can be found here and you can visit the forums  here!

Thanks for checking this out and stay tuned for advances in the development of ImmunityCS! ;)
